Feeding our family
Joel and Ron were drawn for mule deer this fall. Everything was ready for November the 1st when the season opened (sighting in gun, getting skinning knife sharpened, etc..). Joel and Ron were out for 1 1/2 hours and had their tags filled! Joel was happy that it was really easy. For the rest of the day they skinned, gutted and then took the meat to the butcher.
The boys had fun checking out the deer!
We just got our meat back- too much for our freezer to hold, so some is in Sandy’s freezer and some is in mom’s freezer!! Now i have alot of deer meat to cook with and i am really not too sure how. I am going to be surfing around looking for some new wild game recipes.
This is what is in my freezer- 2 bags full! Yum..
