Bringing on the baby!

I had this post made on Saturday nite.  I did all this house work with Joel the day before the baby came, it usually works to get out there and just do something physical to bring on that baby!!

Joel has let ME help with the basement!  So excited!  I am in charge of the silicone, every single nail hole and seam on the outside of the wall has to be filled to be waterproof.  Then we have to put a waterproof membrane over top of that.  We will float like Noah’s ark if it floods!

This is the silicone- my line is the one going across and Joel’s is the one going up and down!  As you can see mine clearly rocks his!!

Joel has started bracing the walls for when the house comes but more need to be put up.  It needs to look overly braced, like we went bracing crazy.  I want the walls to be strong for when the house comes and so does everyone else.

The last thing that we decided to do just the other day was build an outside wall inside the basement! It will run under where the old house sits and where the addition starts if you can understand that.  The wall will work to support the old house up and to keep the walls from ever pushing in towards themselves.

I am really happy with everything Joel has done so far, i feel nothing has been skipped.  It makes me happy!  I love things done well!

This is my view to the south- i love it!

YAY!!! So excited for you! It looks so much different from the last time I was up to see it. It looks like there should be a house sitting up on it. Any word on when the house is coming? Love, Love, Love the view 🙂

And by the way…your silicone line is way more artistic than Joel’s 😉
